JUNE NEWS from Artisan Boatworks
Many of our clients with classic one-design sailboats have been asking us about racing opportunities, so we’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Lyman-Morse to present a Daysailer Class at this year’s Camden Classics Cup. We hope you can join us July 26-28.

This new class is exclusively for Classic and Spirit of Tradition boats with a waterline length 24′ and under, and many of the boats we have built and restored will be participating. Enjoy exciting on-the-water racing ideally suited to smaller boats while sharing in all the memorable parties and shore side activities with the big boats. Let us know if we can help get your boat to Camden for what will be a fabulous weekend!

New Daysailer Class added for 2018:
•   No auxiliary power required
•   Towing assistance and moorings available
•   Open to boats 24′ and under waterline length
•   No rating certificate required
•   Size-appropriate courses close to Camden Harbor
•   Only 4 Entrants of a particular design are needed
    to create your own class

We are thrilled to have been featured on the covers of three of our favorite magazines. The February issue of SOUNDINGS featured Billy Black’s image of VIM on the cover.

The June issue of SOUNDINGS has a photo by Benjamin Mendlowitz of the Artisan-built daysailers KITTY and  MURMUR.

The July/August issue of WoodenBoat features the Herreshoff-inspired yacht tender designed by Matt Smith that we recently built. Photo by Ben Mendlowitz.

Here are a few of the many new listings we have added this spring. Check out our brokerage page to see more, and if the perfect boat for you isn’t there, we would be happy to assist with a broader search.

We’re launching and delivering boats every day to New York, Nantucket, Northeast Harbor, and points in between. This past spring, we added a new storage building and are accepting new clients for 2018/2019. Artisan Boatworks’ full service “mooring to mooring” storage and maintenance program has proven time and again that owning and maintaining a wooden boat can be hassle-free.

Come see us at the WoodenBoat Show at Mystic Seaport June 22-24. We will be displaying  powerboats VIM and EGRET on the docks and a W-22 sailboat on land. This event is always a highlight of the summer as we look forward to visiting with friends who share a passion for wooden boats and enjoying the festive atmosphere filled with vendors, workshops and more. Alec will be participating in a panel discussion on wooden boat restorations Friday at 1:30. We hope to see you there!
