38’ Luders-24 – LEAF

A rare and highly successful Luders-24, LEAF represents one of the finest examples of this iconic A.E. Luders Jr. design. Combining the elegance of the International 6-Meter with lightweight hot-molded construction, the Luders-24 is widely regarded as one of the most balanced and capable classic racing yachts ever built.

LEAF is offered in race-ready condition, with a strong recent record across New England’s premier classic regattas. Highlights include:

A key advantage is her road-worthy trailer, allowing efficient transport between regattas and eliminating the need for delivery by water. She is also believed to be the only Luders-24 fitted with a cabin trunk, providing useful shelter and below-deck space without compromising performance.

The Luders-24 was developed in 1943 following the success of the Luders-16 class. Designed by A.E. Luders Jr. and built using advanced hot-molded laminated wood construction, the design offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and long-term structural integrity.

At 38’ 3” overall, the Luders-24 draws from the International 6-Meter rule, with a narrow, easily driven hull and excellent balance across a wide range of conditions. Only 15 were built, with just a handful actively racing today.
