SUMMERWIND

The first H 12 1/2 footer boats were built in 1914 by Herreshoff Mfg. Co, of Bristol, RI, and the unique popularity and longevity of this design has continued for 101 years. The H-12 is still considered to be one of the finest, if not the finest, small sailing yacht designs ever created.

SUMMERWIND is a traditionally built, Galf Rigged wooden Herreshoff 12½ dating from 1947. She is Northern white cedar planked over white oak frames and deadwood, with a teak cockpit sole, varnished coamings, and a varnished wooden gaff rig..

The boat is being sold with a full cockpit canvas cover as well as a winter cover that extends from bow to stern.  2 year old Triad trailer.  Her sail inventory consists of a new Bohndell jib, an older jib, a mainsail, a new North Sails asymmetrical spinnaker, and an older conventional spinnaker reportedly in good condition. A spinnaker pole is included.
